Lawrence Sinclair serves as East Agile's principal consultant and CEO. Since 1995 he has served clients as a consultant in the areas of business analysis, data mining, and customer analytic system architecture and programming. He holds a Master's degree in economics from The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He became a consultant after spending five years as a professional economist in Canada's central statistical agency and its federal Ministry of Finance.
He is exceptionally well versed in advanced statistics and behavioral modeling techniques as well as datamart and datawarehouse development, design and population. Combining business and analytic skills, he has made significant business intelligence contributions to clients that include Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo Bank, and eToys. He is also the author and architect of advanced applications. These include web usage and online advertising tracking systems and customer profitability datamarts.
Since 1995, Lawrence has often played the role of Product Manager for Internet and Intranet applications for himself, and for major clients, managing teams of developers to implement them. In 1999, he founded an offshore software development company in Bangalore, India (Sinclair Edge Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), and ran it until 2002. In 2007, he formed and manages a new development operation in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with a special focus on implementing all the best practices, and avoiding the worst ones observed over the last several years as a consultant.
